Team Annmarie / USA Collision Centers - Light the Night Walk to support to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

It’s that time of year… Time for “Team Annmarie / USA Collision Centers” to get our walking shoes ready as we prepare for the annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society “Light the Night Walk”.

Your support is CRITICAL this year!!  We need your financial support to continue funding the cutting edge research we have going on right here in Cincinnati.

That’s right, LLS funded researchers are working hard right now at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Hoxworth Blood Center, to find a cure for all blood cancers. Huge strides in blood cancer research are taking place in our own back yard. Help our local researchers continue to make a difference. Let’s have the cure for blood cancers happen right here in Cincinnati.

LLS has made great strides but it really comes down to every dollar making a difference this year. Every donation big or small will have an impact right here in Cincinnati.

Consider for a moment where your charitable donations go. Will they not only make a difference in the lives of others but also a difference in your own community?

The time is now and opportunity is tremendous. Please join us in supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through this year’s “Light the Night Walk”.

As many of you know, ten years ago in December of 2003 my wife Annmarie began her long battle with Leukemia (a blood cancer). Through the six years that followed that very scary December night when we got the news, there were many ups and downs in our journey to seek a permanent remission for Annmarie. Over the course of those six years Annmarie had two transplants, a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) in the spring of 2004 and a Stem Cell Transplant in the fall of 2005. After an almost three year remission, Annmarie’s Leukemia returned in the summer of 2008. Sadly and unexpectedly on July 9th 2009 almost a year to the date that her cancer returned, Annmarie passed away after  returning home from her weekly blood transfusion appointment.

Although God took her from us so she didn't have to fight anymore, our fight against cancer continues. With help from generous friends and loved ones like you, we can continue to make strides in funding research to help stomp out cancer once and for all.

Please join us in walking with us at this year’s “Light the Night Walk”.
