Our History

USA Collision Centers traces its storied history back to our founder Joe Sanfillipo Jr. Joe began working in the automotive field after school during his days at Elder High School in the late 1960s. Joe worked for Tony Wesselman at Glenway Tire Co. in Price Hill, where he met and later married Tony's daughter, Marty. The couple had two children, Maria and Joe III.

With experience in both the mechanical and collision repair businesses, Joe set out on his own in 1975 and purchased a small gas station and mechanical repair shop approximately a mile down the street from Glenway Tire.

Joe quickly grew his gas station and mechanical business from a two bays to four bays and in 1985 added a small carry out to the gas station business.

By 1987 the company had outgrown its original location. While looking for a larger facility to move to, an opportunity to purchase the much larger Glenway Tire location presented itself.

After a significant remodel, the location which had been in Marty’s family dating back to its days as a blacksmith shop in the early 1900’s, was now newly remodeled and open for business as Sanfillipo’ s Automotive Service.

Once opened at the new location, Sanfillipo’s Automotive Service specialized in both mechanical and collision repairs.

By the late 1990’s the company shifted it focus to become a full service collision repair center. After a brief time as a franchisee for a national collision repair franchise, the Sanfillipo family went back out on their own and formed USA Collision Centers in 2006.

As the company continued to be successful it grew from one location to five locations by 2010. Outstanding customer service, superior workmanship and strong family values have made USA Collision Centers extremely successful.

In September of 2014 the Sanfillipo family accepted an offer from a national competitor to purchase four of the five USA Collision Centers locations.

In January of 2015 as the company enters its 40th year in business,  company founder Joe Sanfillipo Jr and wife and Marty have decided to step back and retire. In doing so Joe Jr has turned the reigns over to his son and company Chief Operating Officer Joe Sanfillipo III.

As Joe III takes the reigns as USA Collision Centers President and CEO, he continues to carry on his family’s tradition at the Price Hill location.

Like his father, Joe III is also an industry leader, having served as president and chairman for the Automotive Service Association of Ohio (ASA) and a former president of the ASA Cincinnati Chapter. He is equally passionate about serving his community, serving on the Board of Directors for SPCA Cincinnati and the Board of Directors for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Tri-State Chapter.

USA Collision Centers’ story does not end here. Our goal is to continue to grow and serve the needs of our clients, never forgetting what it took to get where we are today.
